Portugal Weather

Mainland Portugal generally has an Oceanic climate in the North, and a Mediterranean climate in the South. The widest temperature variations are between the extreme Northeast and extreme Southeast of the country: the former may experience cold winters, even with snow, and the latter sometimes experiences extremely hot Summer days, sometimes with temperatures as high as 46°C (115°F).

The archipelagos of the Azores and Madeira, also experience temperature differences between Winter and Summer, however the differences are much less extreme.
